During this first week of September, the Russian Far East has turned into one of the busiest places in the world. Government officials and the business elite from the Asia-Pacific region have gathered for the APEC leaders’ meeting in Vladivostok. For Russia, this means further integration into the Asia-Pacific region, and lots of opportunities to develop the Far East and Siberia. So what are the particular developments? How is Moscow going to take advantage of hosting the most important regional forum?
